Mission & Staff
Along with identifying future college players for HU, our staff will provide player feedback, references and connections for a players pathway to the right college program that fits their level of play and academic interest. At our clinics and camps we will develop the individual players technique, confidence, craftiness, competitiveness and the ability to problem solve and deal with adversity in a fast paced environment. Our goal is to make it fun, and teach players that games are full of mistakes and we must not dwell in the past but always strive to be great in the next play! Having strong charactor, true integrity and a humble approach will not only be taught but demanded from all participants in Pirate Soccer programs.
Coach Mo Kanneh has achieved at all levels of the game as a player and coach and now lead the Lady Pirates into a new era in the NCAA Division 1 Big South Conference. Taking on the job right as pre-season kicked off in 2019, the Pirates fought the fight to be competitive and show they belong in the conference. Picking off his 1st Division 1 win at VMI and a draw against USC Upstate has positioned Hampton Soccer to be a force for years to come. Coach Kanneh will continue to develop and identify talent and has high expectations going in to 2020 and beyond for his players and team.
"I'm excited to continue with developing players technique, rhythm and love of the game and have imprinted my stamp on the Pirate player pool in a short time at HU. My focus is on the management of the players, developing our systems of play and our in game adjustments. In addition our training environment will build detailed, free flowing players that enjoy working hard each day and live to compete with the top players and teams from all around the country. I will continue to work with the youth in clinics and camps to develop the whole player and hopefully play a positive role in many of our participants futures on and off the field." say Coach Kanneh
